World Cup 1st Group Games - winners in bold

South Africa v Mexico
South Korea v Greece
Argentina v Nigeria
England v USA
Serbia v Ghana
Germany v Australia
Italy v Paraguay
Uruguay v France

£2.50 returns £570.92 with Paddy Power. Odds throughout the World Cup (and the Euros) are ridiculously good value, so if you pick right you will make an absolute killing.

If you add Algeria v Slovenia and Holland v Denmark to those above, then £2.50 returns £2169.51!

The average age of the Greece squad is about 47 mate, they failed to qualify for the 2006 World Cup which is embarassing for a side that won Euro 2004.

Argentina and South Korea will both comfortably qualify from that group.

Some good options there Bratto. I'd agree, international tournos are always good for a bit of spread betting. I've won a couple of hundred quid at each of the last few tournaments. Not even on outlandish choices, just a few fairly safe bets and the odd stab in the dark.

Yeah they do offer some of the best odds around mate, Victor Chandler and Coral are also two of my other personal favourites.

Fishy - yeah, for the last Euros me and 2 mates won £750 each from a £7.50 (each) stake. The six teams were Holland, Russia, Italy, Spain, Croatia and Germany. The odds for Holland to beat Romania were 15/8 which is ridiculous - for some reason, the bookies seem to want to receive a hammering during International tournaments!

bratto m8,

i have faith in u with them matches as i have put a bet on the same teams and same 2.50 stake, but i went to william hill the other day (as it was the closest to me) and i was a bit shocked on the return price, as i picked the same teams as what u picked plus the two other matches aswell, from a 2.50 stake returns 1262.54, im not sure what reutrn price would have been if i didnt add the solvenia and holland teams from william hill. i know the return money is still a lot but i should have gone to paddy power or coral.

ive just checked on the odds on william hill (on their site odds)

mexico         13/8
france         11/10
greece         8/5
argentina       4/9
england sadly      4/9
algeria         12/5
serbia         11/10
germany         1/2
holland         8/15
cameroon      11/10
italy         1/1
swlovakia       2/5
portugal      11/10
brazil         1/12
hunduras      5/1
spain          1/4

and i then calculated on this free bet calculator - http://www.free-bet-calculator.co.uk/

and it turns out that on the result from the calculator - u would return £49,268.54 from a £1 bet

i dont know if this is 100% right but the best person to speak to is bratto as he knows the ins and outs of betting lol

WWFC - Odds will have changed massively since I posted that bet; managers announced their final 23, friendlies have been played, performances monitored, etc. What you've been given as your return is still very good considering how close we are to the start. Good luck with that bet, hope it comes in!

Davie - Looking at the teams you've selected, I can see why the return is so big. You've picked Honduras to beat Chile @ 5/1 and Algeria to beat Slovenia @ 12/5, if they come in for you, then that is superb but they are at those high odds for the simple reason that Chile should have no problem beating Honduras and Slovenia should ease past Algeria.

Good luck with your bets guys - I've got about £200 tied up so far with potential returns at over £160k, so with a bit of luck... :D
