New member - looking for PSN Project Cars friends

Hello all,

Since launch, I have been struggling to control Project Cars with a DS4. However, this week I took delivery of a T150 and Playseat. I'm still trying to get my head around how much this has improved the experience...

I'm off work at the moment (but will be returning in the next couple of weeks) so I'm around during the day and spending most of my time playing with all the cars I had no hope of driving with a standard controller, mostly with a stupid grin on my face. I can commit to time for a league and have some experience from sessions with Race Pro back in my X360 days.

My connection is stable, but I'm limited to copper (fibre terminates on the opposite side of the road and they won't connect me because of required works... grrrr) and I have no idea if I have the bandwidth for online racing. It would be good to find out.

I've been running the Formula Gulf around ZIC - first time in an open-wheel - and I'm struggling to get below 1:37 just now. The exit from turn 1 is killing me...

Anyway, if you're reading this please feel free to add me: SpaceMachine

Welcome SpaceMachine. Where do you find us, through Google?

Escorchio is your man for car setups, I call him the Prof.

Have you ever done a speed test? Try speedtest.net  It could be worse, you could be paying for a 200mb connection and only be getting 1mb in the evenings, as some here will confirm!!

Thanks. Yes, found you through Google. I got banned from the official Project Cars forum back in the early days.

I'm running the Gulf in stock trim with no assists - I figured this would be the case for the league, no?

Connection is stable 24/7 and I get 8 down but only 0.9 up.

You don't need bandwidth for gaming, just stability and good ping. Try pingtest.net.  A couple of us get no more than 2 or 3 Meg download.

Anyone around this evening for some social practice at ZIC?

I won't be online tonight, but I'll make tomorrow nights race a preseason 'test' session. I'll get a thread up tonight.

1.34 looks like a good lap here.

I don't get any better than 50ms ping so you'll be more than fine.

Hi space machine. I will add you tomorrow. It's my day off work and apart from a golf lesson at 2pm I will be on for a large part of the day before the evening races. We can get in a lobby together and do some laps somewhere. I'm new to this forum too so I'm looking for more people to run this game with. My PSN will be Ipswich2205.
