U.S. Amatuer Championship 2015 ,  Olympia Fields Country Club home of the championship, and the 2003 u.s.open this is a par 70 7225 yard U.S. open course with medium fast greens and medium slow fairways so the ball holds well to the greens a short course by U.S.open standards but average and sloping fairways are a solid challenge done in the boreal theme to bring out the north mid state look this is laid out to there website and shape slope are really close also a solid challenge for all golfers feed back welcome , up next Hazeltine natioal golf club, enjoy golfers

Had a go at creating a par 3 course.  Good if you don't have time for a full round.
A few little tricky holes and greens, but nothing too extreme.
It's just called 'Par 3 Shootout'.
Be interested to see what you guys think.

Castle Lakes GC.

Course Facts:

  • 18 Hole

  • Par 72

  • 6,996 Yards

  • Green Speed - Medium

  • Fairways - Medium to Firm

This is my first course created on the GNCC and has been created from scratch.

Castle Lakes winds it's way around the hill where the ruins of a medieval castle still stand before skirting across and around the lakes that sit at the base of the hill.

The course has many elevation changes which makes clubbing up and down a must depending on wind conditions and also leaves one or two blind shots. The greens are on the large side but get too far from the hole and you'll face a looong putt!!

I hope the good guys and girls here will give my course a try and enjoy it. If anyone has any constructive criticism please feel free to leave it here (if allowed?!?) or feel free to drop me a message.

Just finished up Jubilee Park, which has thursday-sunday pins and also threw in a 4 hole playoff too. Some holes are easy and others tough with pin placements, wouldn't say any are tricked up or unfair though.

Also made Bush Hill Park Golf Club and 4 different pin sets too. I made this with beginners in mind with wide fairways and soft greens so approaches stick. The regular edition is the easiest with the pins pretty much in the middle of the greens and the other 4 are nearer edges. Most par 5's are reachable in 2 if not into a head wind.

Mascoma Lake has been published, which is a remodel of Bush Hill Park. Now has narrower fairways and a few more bunkers. Also made it Medium firmness and Med/Fast green speeds. Didn't change the greens a whole lot, maybe an odd slope here or there just so the putts wern't too easy. Still plays fair though.

I'll talk with Pipeit at the end of the season and look to use a number of these member courses again. We will also need a course for the end of season PSGL Cup (Ryder Cup style event).

Sand Piper National - One of the more unique courses you will play. Pay attention, driver off the tee may not always be your best choice (Hole 7 for one example).

Enjoy.
