Topic: STATEMENT - FUTURE OF PSGL F1 LEAGUES - F1 2019 and beyond (Read 393 times) previous topic - next topic

Hi all,

With Codemasters’ recent announcement of their latest title - F1 2019 - set for release on June 28, it is necessary for us to outline Playstation Gaming Leagues’ plans for the remainder of F1 2018 and moving towards 2019.

Typically, PSGL has held three seasons per title with the final season finishing several weeks in advance of the new game.

Our second season is set to finish on April 15, with the Race of Champions event taking place on April 28. This gives us only eight weeks or so until the release of F1 2019 and thus gives us insufficient time to hold a third season.

Thus there will be no third season held on F1 2018, meaning during May and June there will be no official F1 leagues ongoing.

Instead, there will be regular social events and mini championship-style races to keep us going until the release of F1 2019.

F1 2019 looks to be bigger and better than ever before, and we can’t wait to see what it has in store for us moving forward.

Enjoy the final rounds of Season 22 and keep across our social channels and forum for updates surrounding F1 2019 and our new season.

Good call and gives people time to organise things.

Especially as it looks as though F2 formula is going to be featured in the new game and there will be interest in that.
