FIFA 1v1 League & Cup Rules

These are to be followed at all times by every member competing in a FIFA 1v1 league/event on playstationgl.com, in conjunction with the General Rules.

1. Arranging your Game

1.1. Players must contact their opponent to play their game from the stated fixture date. Matches must be played within 14 days of the given fixture unless otherwise stated. It is advised that members not only post in the relevant 'contact thread' but also either private message them on this website, or message them over PSN, to avoid a response of 'I never seen your message'.

2. Matches

2.1. All matches must be played in their entirety and all results must be posted within 24 hours of the game finishing.

2.2. The player who is the 'home team' must host the game, unless both parties decide the 'away' player has the best connection.

2.3. Players may perform a 'lag test' within the first 5 minutes of the game. If the game is 'laggy', you must quit within the first 5 minutes. Quitting any later in the game may result in a loss. If you do feel the need to quit because lag, the other play must try hosting the game straight away. If it is still laggy you are to contact your league admin via Helpdesk.

2.4. All league and/or cup matches are to be played via the online friendlies option in-game. The host must ensure that the squads are set to 'Online' and not to 'Custom' unless otherwise stated.

2.5. If you or the opposing player disconnects from the match, the game is to be replayed from where it left off. (i.e. if a disconnection occurs in the 30th minute - the second match would be played up until the 60th minute.) The score from the first game is then to be added to the second. However, if you feel that the player has 'rage quit' or similar (i.e quits straight after you have scored), you are to contact your league admin via Helpdesk and not play the second game.
    2.5.1. If the opponent that disconnected doesn't come back online or drops a second time, contact your league admin via Helpdesk, explaining the circumstances and you will be given an extended period of time to finish the match.

2.6. Each match will be played as a best of 1 unless otherwise stated. In the event of a draw after 90 minutes then the result will count as a draw.

3. No-Shows

3.1. Failure to show up at a previously agreed date and time will result in a forfeit for the player who doesn't show up.
     3.1.1. A member has 20 minutes to show-up and be ready to start the match from the pre-determined time.

3.2. If your opponent fails to show up, you are to contact your league admin, who might give you the default win.

3.3. If neither member makes any agreement and neither player contacts an admin within the 14 day deadline, the game will become void and will not be playable unless under special circumstances.

4. 14 day rule/deadlines

4.1. Members have 14 days to arrange and play their match unless otherwise stated.

4.2. If you are unable to arrange a game with your opponent or come to a mutual agreement during the 7 days, then you both must post in the correct thread or message an admin  to let them know why you have not been able to play your match.
  4.2.1. Members that contact their league admin with a reasonable excuse will be given an extended period of time to play their outstanding match before it becomes locked and unplayable. (You must contact the admin before the deadline).

4.3. If a member is on holiday the league admin must be notified prior to going away. This will result in all games with said player being postponed depending on how long the member is away.
     4.3.1. Members who fail to notify their league admin within 7 days prior to going away may be removed from the league.

4.4. Members are not allowed to play their games before the stated fixture and any result that is posted before this date will be disallowed unless permission is given by the league admin.

5. Waiting list and replacements

5.1. If the sign ups reaches its limit, any members wishing to take part in the league will be placed onto a 'waiting list'. Members on the waiting list will not take part in the league unless of a removal and/or drop out.

5.2. If a member leaves or gets removed from a competition when 25% of games have been played then all previous and future results will be given default 3-0 wins to the opposition
     5.2.1. If someone leaves before 25% games have been played then a replacement member may take over but this is down to the decision of the admin who will assess the situation.

6. Other Rules

6.1. Members are not allowed to play in any league or cup competitions using multiple accounts. Breaking this rule will result not only in being removed from the league; you will also be given a permanent ban from the website.

6.2. Once a member has confirmed their team at the start of the season, they are not allowed to change their team again until the start of the following season, members are not permitted to play as any other team during the league season. [If applicable]

6.3. Any Member who shows inactivity during the season (not playing games or making any contact with other players) will be removed from the league.

6.4. Members are permitted to use any custom formation they like.
     6.4.1. However, if using a 5 man defence a player MUST pick a standard formation from the NON CUSTOMISED 5 man defensive formations.

6.5. Any decision made by a league admin is final and cannot be challenged. Although in very special circumstances the Game Director(s) can override the league admin if they feel they have solid ground to do so.

6.6. These rules must be followed in all our competitive games and there are no exceptions.

6.7. We reserve the right to make any changes during the season and also cancel the league with little notice. We also reserve the right to remove any member for breaking rules of the league or forum, and for showing inactivity.
